Lucy Kate Jackson (born October 29, 1948) is a famous American actress and film producer, nicknamed Kate Jackson. She is known for her roles in the television series Charlie’s Angels, Scarecrow and Mrs. King.
She grew up in Birmingham, Alabama, and developed an interest in acting as a teenager. At age 16, she began modeling while studying acting. She took a theater history course at Birmingham-Southern College.
She also trained at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York before starting her acting career. Kate Jackson made her film debut in the horror film Dark Shadows of the Night in 1971 and played the lead role in the drama film Limbo.

Early life and education
Hogan Jackson and Ruth Sheppard welcomed Lucy Kate Jackson on October 29, 1948 in Birmingham, Alabama, USA. She grew up with her older sister Janet Jackson.
She grew up in a very affluent family; her mother, Ruth Shepherd, was a homemaker, and her father, Hogan Jackson, was the president of a building supply company. She lived with her family in Mountain Brook, Alabama, and attended Brooke Hill School for Girls.
Kate Jackson decided she wanted to be an actress when she graduated from high school. She began modeling at the age of 16 to supplement her income. After high school, she first attended the University of Mississippi, but transferred to Birmingham-Southern College during her sophomore year to study speech and theater history.
