Katy Perry has reportedly donated proceeds from her album “143” to support those affected by the devastating wildfires in California.
In the six-day battle against the raging Los Angeles fires, firefighters are at a critical juncture. Despite some success, officials warn that the fire remains a major threat, especially because strong winds are expected to continue this weekend.
At least 24 people were killed in this tragedy and many others are still missing.
However, instead of praising her selfless gesture, internet users criticized Perry, speculating that the poor sales of her most recent album, “143”, would not have a significant impact.
It’s worth noting that no other major agency or network reported on Perry’s charitable efforts to help those affected by the wildfires.
What is that total? 7 dollars?

Perry’s album failed to attract widespread attention following its September 2024 release, as both critics and fans criticized its artificial, unoriginal sound.
After its release, “143” entered the music industry with initial sales of 48,000 copies, which was not as expected. The distribution of these units is skewed more towards traditional album sales than streaming numbers.
Additionally, many supporters and reviewers believe that Perry’s feminist song “Woman’s World” received a major blow due to her decision to collaborate with controversial music producer Dr. Luke. Many fans were confused when she decided to collaborate on a song promoting female empowerment with a male artist who had faced allegations of abuse from a woman, specifically Kesha, even though The charges were eventually withdrawn and were never prosecuted in court.
