Katy Perry is set to make her big comeback this weekend as she prepares to release a brand new song. Kesha appears to have reacted to her latest track as it is believed to be a reference to Dr. Luke, the record producer she is embroiled in a legal battle with.

Before American Idol judge is set to release her new single, “Women’s World” on June 21. Many people are claiming on social media that Dr. Luke, real name Lukasz Gottwald, is credited as producer .

After the announcement, Kesha officially spoke up X account and simply wrote “Lol”, leading fans to speculate that her subtle shade on social media was about Katy Perry.

Fans immediately took to the comments section to share their reactions to the matter, as one wrote, “she’s laughing at Katy and her new song.”
“even if Katy Perry’s new song was produced by Dr. Luke, that reaction is very petty. Because we know that you hate Katy, it’s not about the producer. Dr. Luke has also working with Doja Cat and Kim Petras, what’s your reaction to them, Kesha? one Writtencriticized the “TikTok” singer.
As of the time of this writing, both artists have not commented on the issue being spread on social networks.
Kesha was previously involved in a lawsuit with Dr. Luke when she accused him of assault in 2014. According to records, the incident allegedly occurred in 2005.

The “Crazy Kids” hitmaker claimed she woke up in the record producer’s bed “in pain” and didn’t remember what happened.
The lawsuit also alleges that the producer threatened Kesha that her career would end if she spoke out publicly about the matter.

Two years after filing, Kesha dropped her lawsuit against Dr. Luke. On the other hand, the producer filed a defamation lawsuit against the female singer and it was settled in 2023.
“Kesha and Dr. Luke have agreed to settle the lawsuit and have agreed to issue and post a joint statement regarding that settlement,” a statement read.
Kesha then took to social media to share that she looks forward to ending this chapter of her life and starting a new one.
“I wish nothing more than peace for all parties involved,” she said.
Katy Perry’s new song “Women’s World” will be released on June 21, 2024.
