Kristin Chenoweth Joins the ‘Ugly’ Crying Club as She Tearfully Calls Herself Ariana Grande’s ‘Other Mom’

It seems sinister The press tour was emotional for everyone. Original Broadway Glinda Kristin Chenoweth, who is rumored to guest star alongside Idina Menzel in the new film, shed emotional tears while speaking with Entertainment tonight, considers herself Ariana Grande’s “other mother”.

“I will always be anything for her because I have known her since she was 10 years old,” Kristen said of the actress and singer. “I always told Joan, her mother, ‘You are her mother but I am her other mother,’” she shared through tears.

Chenoweth began to choke up as he thought back to witnessing Grande dazzle at of the wicked premiere in Los Angeles, saying “We were just standing there looking at her and I said, ‘Look at our girl.’ And she said, ‘Yeah, that’s our daughter.'”

She has publicly supported Grande’s renewal of her role as Glinda, even praising her work ethic while teasing in a recent interview with E! News. “I don’t think Ariana can do eight shows a week – I know she can. She can do 15 shows. I work pretty hard but Ariana Grande works hard. That’s why Why doesn’t she have any performances?”

Chenoweth’s crying is perhaps not surprising, as the film’s press launch proved emotional for all involved. Social media specifically mocked Grande and Cynthia Erivo for the number of times the actresses broke down in tears while talking about the film, even though they both begged for some kind of grace.

After being asked about it in an interview with ETGrande shared, “It’s really emotional! It’s been three years, everyone. A lot has happened. Why does having feelings scare you so much?”
