Cause of death of Helen Slayton-Hughes
Park and Recreation actress Helen Slayton-Hughes has tragically passed away at the age of 92, her family has confirmed. The cause of the actress’s death has not yet been revealed.
In tribute to the star, her family said in a statement: “Helen passed away last night. Her pain is gone but her strong spirit lives on. Thank you for everyone’s love and support for her and her work. Rest in peace sweet soul.”
Many fans paid tribute to her on social media. One wrote, “Will always miss that smile and attitude. That woman had it all and wasn’t ashamed to say things like they were.” Another added, “So sorry to hear this. Our sincere condolences on your loss. May her memory be a blessing.”
Another added, “I am so sorry for your loss. I became a fan of Helen later in life after her role on Parks and Rec. Helen brought so much light and laughter into the world and will be greatly missed by all.”

Jeduthun is 52 years old and currently resides in Denver, Colorado. He has worked at various locations at Robert Half. He was an Operations Analyst at Bank of the West – Data Integrity Specialist at Vail Resorts – Sales Assistant at Avantes Inc – Market Research at Red Dot Storage – A/P Assistant at Made In Nature.
Jeduthun was also a vocal instructor at the Northglenn Youth Academy and Theater and a graduate of the University of Colorado Boulder. He was married to his wife Kristin Fernandez. Shortly after her death, Kristin wrote on her Facebook, “My wonderful mother-in-law is no longer in pain. Helen, you were and always will be a treasure. Rest in peace. We love you.”
Kristin is from Santa Fe, New Mexico. She works at the Denver Performing Arts Complex and Curious Theatre Company.
Macduff, 57, was born in April 1965. He has been a director of engineering at Google since 2007. Prior to working at Google, he also worked at Adobe Systems Inc., Xerox and MicroLogic Software.
Macduff was married to his wife Twyla Hughes.
Her third son is Duncan Hughes, who is said to be an MIT alumnus.
In addition, Helen has six grandchildren.
