Aftab Shivdasani was born on June 25, 1978 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. He is the son of Putli Shivdasani and Prem Shivdasani and has a sister named Afsana Shivdasani.
Shivdasani studied at Fort St. Xavier High School and then graduated from HR Business School, Mumbai. He is of mixed race. His father Prem Shivdasani is a Sindhi Hindu while his mother Putli Shivdasani is an Iranian Zoroastrian. However, his personal religious beliefs are unknown.
