Lizzo sees nothing but Bluesky in her future.
As several other stars flee the Musk for President-elect Donald Trump.
Posting a mirror selfie showing off her white bathrobe to Instagram, Lizzo shared why she made the switch between platforms.
“I hate the internet,” she said.
“Anyway, I joined bluesky because we are leaving toxic in 2024,” she added, also sharing the news on her Stories and writing, “#TheGreatMigration.”
Lizzo has not used her X account since September 2023.
“I’ve been out lizzo’d and I’m never going out lizzo’d again. Wait… are we having fun on the Internet again?” her first post on the platform read.
Bluesky has gained more than a million new users in a little more than a week since Trump won the 2024 presidential election over Kamala Harris, whom Lizzo and several other musicians have endorsed.
Musk previously bought X for $44 billion from Bluesky founder Jack Dorsey in 2022 before renaming the site X. Musk is a longtime Trump supporter and even secured a position in cabinet of the President-elect. Musk will head the newly created Bureau of Government Effectiveness.
Lizzo’s departure from X comes as other celebrities like Jamie Lee Curtis and Don Lemon have deactivated their accounts.
“I’ve enjoyed connecting with all of you on But now I feel like it doesn’t serve that.” purpose,” Lemon said in his last X post.
Curtis simply shared a screenshot of her account being disabled.
“Lord, please grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change. Courage to change the things I can. And wisdom to know the difference,” she captioned the post yours.
