Lizzo was just one of many celebrities who recently joined Kai Cenat’s non-stop November livestream. Recently, users following her and SZA revealed rare images of their close friendship, even causing a stir when they were caught discussing Cenat’s hygiene.
Although Lizzo has been the target of hate over the past few years, this look seems to have reignited public enthusiasm for her. Lizzo reportedly only participated in the livestream to redirect any hate that may have been directed towards SZA onto her, as SZA shared how scared she was to appear on the livestream.
However, the opposite happened: people praised her for her humor and coolness.
Lizzo seemed grateful for the change in tone. In a dewy selfie showing off her sturdy Sailor Moon phone case, she shared: “Hello to everyone who just discovered that I’m cool. Welcome to the club.”
SZA herself commented in support and added, “Pahaha was tried and said.”
Fans also reacted to Lizzo’s obvious weight loss. While she was accused of using the drug Ozempic to lose weight, fans came to her defense and noted that she has openly shared about her fitness and healthy eating journey . “Can you guys post a post without mentioning ‘she’s getting skinny’ or how she’s ‘on ozempic’? She’s been documenting her fitness and healthy eating journey this whole time,” one disappointed fan commented on a recent Instagram photo.
Lizzo poked fun at her own chat, even dressing up as Ozempic for Halloween to bring some humor to the rumors.
However, others did not let her escape her difficulties so easily. “Fatphobia is crazy because Lizzo got skinny and you all immediately forgot about the sexual harassment lawsuits against her. Not to mention you guys think that losing weight is somehow inherently a way ‘shining’,” one user on X wrote on Twitter.
