early life
Mampho Brescia was born in Johannesburg, but she grew up in Soweto, South Africa, with her parents and siblings.
She was born on December 8, 1977.
She completed her primary and secondary education in Johannesburg before attending the University of the Westlands where she graduated with a degree in International Relations.
After completing her degree at the University of the Westlands, she spent two years in Japan in 2000, when she was 23.
These two years of study were part of her exchange program at Soka University.
Profession
Mampho Brescia’s career began in 1998 when she was a presenter on the TV show Reality Check. A few years later, in 2002, she made her debut as Mbali on the popular SABC1 show Generations.
She has also taken on a number of other new responsibilities since taking on the role of AfriSat presenter.
In 2005, she started working as a freelance presenter for DSTV while also producing corporate videos for companies and institutions such as Standard Bank and the Ministry of Tourism.
She also made guest appearances in shows like “Isidingo” in 2006. In addition, she started writing “Jacob’s Cross”.
In 2018, she assumed the most important and prominent role as the Japanese brand ambassador.
