Mariah Carey declares ‘It’s time’ to kick off the Christmas season in new Addams family-themed video

According to Mariah Carey, Christmas time has finally arrived.

The Queen of Christmas took to her social media channels on November 1 to officially kick off the holiday season. She announced that the countdown to the most wonderful time of the year has begun with her eagerly awaited “It’s Time” video.

This year, Carey dressed up as Morticia Addams from the movie. The Addams Family. The clip begins with a dark and spooky night, ending with a full moon, howling wolves, and persistent rain pouring down on the haunted mansion. Carey then appeared in a sparkly black dress, black wig and heavy makeup, holding hands with a dancer dressed as Gomez Addams as they danced the couple’s signature creepy tango.

However, Carey didn’t dance for long and pushed Gomez out of frame, throwing a dagger at his face and narrowly missing. After that, the female singer looked straight into the camera and used her mind to open a cabinet as the last calendar pages of October were thrown aside.

Inside the closet is a red and white Santa sweater. Carey then declared that “It’s time” with her signature whistle notes. A sleigh filled with gifts appears along with fake snow and Gomez turns from a vampire into a snowman. It all served as the soundtrack to Carey’s iconic hit “All I Want for Christmas Is You.”

The video ends with Carey preparing to take off with her reindeer.

Carey is preparing to release her first Christmas album in honor of her 30th anniversary. Merry Christmaswhich contains “All I Want for Christmas Is You,” along with other originals and covers. “All I Want for Christmas Is You” has sold more than 16 million copies worldwide, becoming one of the best-selling singles ever.
