Marina, Charli XCX Feud Over: Singer Praises Pop Singer’s New Collaboration With Lorde Years After Twitter Squabble

Charli went into the replies and replied, “aww marina!! tumblr girls rise!”

The trouble between the two singers started in 2016 when Charli shared a series of photos that many people thought were similar to the cover of Marina’s song “Immortal”.

The images, shot by Charlotte Rutherford, also feature the same tropical design as the singer’s album FOOT.

The musician, whose real name is Marina Diamandis, appeared to call out Charli on social media when she Written“Images are artistic property. Please respect your fellow artists.”

Marina also commented on the photographer’s Instagram post, writing: “That FROOT looks familiar!” referring to the aesthetics of her album cover art.

Charli responded to this tweet, writing, “@MarinasDiamonds, I guess this was directed at me. If so, the response posted here. sends out positive vibes.”

In a lengthy explanation, the British pop star defended his photos, saying that sometimes people take photos in different settings, such as in front of trees, in black and white or even even with similar makeup.

“Sometimes you shoot with the same photographer that a fellow artist shot with,” she added. That’s just the way things are in the industry I work in.”

During the “Girl, So Confused” remix with Lorde, the two artists discussed their comparisons when the New Zealand artist sang in the pre-chorus, “People say we look alike / They say we have the same hair / The coin is yours and mine / The industry loves to spend / And when we put this to bed / The internet will go crazy / I I know how you feel / ‘Cause I ride for you, Charli.”

The remix version is now available to stream on major music platforms. The recent song is part of Charli XCX’s current musical era, Boy.
