Meghan Trainor is entering a new era – one that shows an incredible transformation aided by weight loss, all thanks to new fitness trends.
Indeed, the famous singer recently revealed how weight training changed her entire body and mindset. And check out these comparison photos of Trainor now compared to years ago.
The “All About That Bass” performer, 30, opened up about her health journey during a recent appearance on Todayshares how strength training has become her secret weapon for staying active as a busy mom.
As co-hosts Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager complimented Trainor on her new look, she shared the motivation behind her fitness routine. “I have to lift [my kids] get up and go after them,” Trainor said of her sons, Riley, 3, and Barry, 17 months, whom she shares with husband Daryl Sabara. “I’m exhausted.” (via Everybody)

Trainor’s fitness journey initially began with the goal of preparing for her “Timeless Tour,” which ends in October. She said Everybody earlier this year, “I want to workout and eat clean, feel comfortable dancing and singing. I don’t want to be too tired, because right now, I’m tired.”
Her approach to exercise has changed. Instead of hours on the treadmill, Trainor adopted a more manageable, strength-focused routine. “I try to lift weights three times a week,” she explains. “I didn’t know lifting weights would change my life so much. I was almost dying, trying to run on the treadmill and it made me so swollen.”
Weightlifting has changed the game, she said. “I just felt like I could get stronger, you know?” Coach shares. She also joked about incorporating her children into her workouts, lifting them like weights. “I said, ‘Okay, use your legs!'”
Kotb notes that weightlifting can provide lasting energy throughout the day. Trainor agreed but added with a laugh, “And you’ll be dead all day.”
