Early life
Mercy Chinwo, originally known as Mercy Nnenda Chinwo, was born on September 5, 1990. Her mother’s name is Eno Jerry, while her father is unknown, but she has a stepfather named Jerry Eze.
She did not provide much information about her father. However, she is the first daughter and the fourth child overall. Nigerian singer born in Port Harcourt, Rivers, Nigeria. Mercy Chinwo is an indigene of Rivers State, Nigeria.

Career
At the age of eight, Mercy Chinwo began her musical career in church when she was a member of the church youth choir. When she joined the adult choir, she became the choir’s musical director.

As her passion for music grew, she started participating in music competitions until she discovered Nigerian Idol. She won the second season of the Nigerian talent show, which made her famous.
