The pop star warned her father that the Australian musician was an “opportunist”, which made Billy angry with her, so they eventually stopped talking.

Now that the country singer has filed for divorce, he wants his daughter back in his life, and the insider added that he’s even “willing to put up with all her ‘I told you so!'”

Billy Ray appeared to extend his hand to his daughter last month, posting a throwback photo of them. In the caption, he praised the pop star, writing, “I am so incredibly proud of her. She is a survivor and a true artist. She learned early on to love and appreciate the fans who made it all possible.”
The big question is: Will Miley accept his apology and make up with her father? The source notes, “With Firerose gone, she’s willing to at least try to repair the damage and have a loving relationship with him again.”

In May, the Associated Press reported that the 62-year-old musician had filed for divorce from Firerose, whose real name is Johanna Rosie Hodges. The two unfollowed each other on social media just weeks after filing.

Billy Ray then sought a temporary restraining order against his estranged wife during their divorce proceedings, alleging that she had racked up more than $90,000 in 37 unauthorized charges on his business accounts, including more than $70,000 in her attorney fees.
The following day, Firerose countersued Billy Ray, alleging abuse. Prior to her surgery earlier this year, the singer allegedly put her in an “emotional and psychological prison.”
Billy Ray and Firerose were only married for seven months. Prior to that, he was married to Tish Cyrus, with whom he has five children: Miley, Trace Cyrus, Brandi Cyrus, Braison Cyrus and Noah Cyrus.
Last year, Tish married Dominic Purcell.
