Early life
Priscilla Ann Wagner was born on May 24, 1945, in Brooklyn, New York, to United States Navy pilot James Wagner and Ann. When Priscilla was six months old, Wagner died in a plane crash while returning home on leave.
In 1948, Ann Wagner met a US Air Force lieutenant named Paul Beaulieu. The family moved from Connecticut to New Mexico to Maine over the next few years.
Ann and Priscilla took the surname Beaulieu. Beaulieu moved to Del Valle, Texas, in 1956, but her stepfather soon had to move to Wiesbaden, West Germany.
The Beaulieu family lived in a motel that turned out to be a brothel when they first arrived in Germany. The family settled in an apartment in a historic building built before World War I. She attended six schools by the age of 10.
