TMZ has obtained information and photos showing Ray J throwing a tantrum after being denied entry to the Peacock Theater at the 2024 BET Awards.

In the documents obtained, the singer argued with the guards who were trying to stop him from going backstage again. Ray angrily ripped off his shirt, threatening the security force that he would make things worse if he was not allowed in.

“I haven’t brought the ghetto to BET yet, but I’m about to!!!” he said.
During the rampage, Ray was seen holding a drink and occasionally smoking. It was unclear from the TV station whether he was under the influence of drugs when he argued with the guards.
Sources revealed that Ray was “hired by BET to host three events throughout the week, including a behind-the-scenes show on Sunday night.”

However, he “continuously moved between inside and outside during breaks without wearing a badge”, which made the guards very uncomfortable.

Sources confirmed that Ray exited the gate 15 times without a press pass. Thirty minutes after the event ended, the security guard at the door got fed up with Ray, who was not wearing an ID. TMZ’s source alleges that Ray thought the move to deny him backstage access was racially motivated, as he claimed the security guard who refused to let him in was white.
Following the argument, Ray took to social media and made a disturbing statement.
“What was happening was horrifying – it made me suicidal and uncomfortable with my perception of reality!” Power 105.1 quoted Ray’s now-deleted Instagram Story. “Then it all went downhill! First at #BET and then there too! I was literally on fire [sic] point! This chain reaction stems from being trapped in a false/confused reality about this entire life! The bad things that happened to me tonight at the awards show today were painful.”

Ray claimed in his post that he was denied entry for “some reason.”
“I don’t know who they didn’t want me to see – it was weird – anyway I left and came back to soothe my frustration… The bad things that were happening were horrifying – it made me want to commit suicide and was uncomfortable with my perception of reality! THEY PAID ME TO BE SILENT AND I DID! I FEEL BAD AND HATE MYSELF FOR IT!” he added.
