She completely denied any involvement in any of these scandals, claiming that the reports were made by her enemies who were jealous of her effective political career.
She surrendered in 2019 after being forced to take leave. Some of the violent acts she was involved in included:

- South African think tanks the Democratic Alliance and the African National Congress demanded her resignation from her mayoral council position after a leaked audio recording of Sheila Senkubuge and Tshwane Municipality chairman Stevens Mokgalapa engaging in sex rallies and snitching on their partners. The incident occurred in 2019 and she was quickly placed on mandatory leave after which she requested a letter of acceptance.
