Early life
Sihle Zikalala was born on August 6 in Ndwedwe, Natal, South Africa.
He attended high school in Natal and then went on to university.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Communication Sciences and an Honors Bachelor of Management degree from the University of KwaZulu-Natal in 2017.

Political career
Sihle Zalolala joined the African National Congress (ANC) in 1990 and began working as a full-time organizer for the ANC in Ndwedwe from 1993 to 1994. He has held several leadership positions within the ANC.
Sihle Zikalala is a member of the party’s Million Meyiwa Branch and served as ANC Regional Chairman from 1995 to 1996 before being elected to the ANCYL North Durban Regional Executive Committee in 1996. He later became the ANCYL North Regional Executive Committee. Regional Chairman in 1997. He served as Regional Chairman until being elected ANCYL Provincial Secretary in 2000.
He also served as Counselor in the Ilembe District Municipality from 196 to 2000. Sihle Zikalala, after serving as Counselor, was elected Secretary General of the African National Congress Youth Federation in 2004 He was elected Deputy Secretary of the ANC Provincial Party Committee in KwaZulu-Natal in 2008, and soon after, he became Provincial Party Secretary in 2009.
Sihle Zalolala, on November 8, 2015, ran against his opponent named Senzo Mchunu, for the position of Provincial President, and he won by 105 votes with 780 votes out of 1459 votes. vote for yourself. As a result of this victory, Sihle Zalolala was succeeded as Provincial Secretary by Super Zuma when he became Provincial President.
On 26 November 2015, he was sworn in as a member of the KwaZulu-Natal Legislature and filled the vacancy left by Super Zuma’s resignation.
In June 2016, Willie Mchunu, the newly elected Premier of KwaZulu-Natal, appointed Sihle Zalolala to the position of MEC for Economic Development, Tourism and Environment.
He assumed office on 7 June 2016, succeeding Michael Mabuyakhulu. Sihle Zalolala was re-elected unopposed for a second term as the party’s Provincial Chairperson in July 2018.
Immediately following the May 2019 election, Sihle Zikalala was selected as the KwaZulu-Natal Prime Ministerial candidate to succeed Willie Mchunu. Accordingly, he was elected on May 22, 2019 and officially assumed this position on May 27, 2019.
