Early life and education

Steve Harvey was born on January 17, 1957 in Welch, West Virginia, the son of Jesse Harvey and Eloise Vera Harvey. His father, Jesse Harvey, was a coal miner, and his mother, Eloise Vera, was a housewife.

Steve Harvey has three siblings: a brother named Terry Harvey, and two sisters, Mona Harvey and Pauline Harvey. When Harvey was a child, his family moved to Cleveland, Ohio, USA.
