Stevie Nicks cancels concert at last minute due to ‘Illness;’ Fans are outraged

Stevie Nicks was supposed to take the stage in Hershey, Pennsylvania, and many fans lined up to see the musician perform her classic hits.

However, the music event was canceled at the last minute due to a band member’s health condition.

In a statement shared by the venue, it was confirmed that the singer would no longer be performing at Hersheypark Stadium with the message reading: “Regrettably, due to the band’s illness, the evening show will now be postponed. Hold on to your tickets. A new date will be announced soon.”

Not everyone took the announcement lightly as people were at the venue when the event was canceled and many took to social media to express their disappointment.

“Was waiting in line for four to open and wow, last second cancellation!!! Over 1 hour to get out of the parking lot!! Next time maybe not so last second!!” one person wrote.

“Why don’t you help us get out of this place? I drove two hours because the concert was canceled and I’ve been stuck here for over an hour?!?!!!?! I just want to leave this stupid park and go home,” another wrote.

“Ticketmaster didn’t email me about the cancellation until 7:30pm! That’s not right,” one person expressed.

One user was disappointed because they had spent a lot of money on tickets and hotel accommodation only to have the concert cancelled. They wrote, “I’m so heartbroken over this. I’ve always dreamed of seeing her in person. We spent over $800 on tickets plus hotel and travel only to have it canceled as we walked enter.”

As of this writing, Stevie Nicks has not shared an official statement on the matter. It is also unclear which band member has the “disease”.

The musician has just two dates left on his North American tour, which includes Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids on June 18 and Soldier Field in Chicago on June 21, 2024. It looks like these shows will continue as planned, as it has been. There has been no announcement of a possible cancellation.

Nicks will then take a short break before heading to Europe for shows in Belgium, Antwerp, the Netherlands, Glasgow, Manchester and more.

More information about the singer’s upcoming shows is available on her official website.
