Kanye West suffered a major setback in his career amid financial difficulties and a new lawsuit

Kanye West has decided to shut down his Yews News platform less than a year after it launched. At the same time, his fashion business has drastically reduced the prices of all products to just $20.

The controversial rapper introduced his news website in December, which was initially accessible only through mobile devices. Within the interface are drop-down menus labeled 10am, 3pm and 8pm, offering various content on fashion, politics and updates on West’s career after his sudden departure. Go.

According to The Sun, original content on this website is scarce, mainly taking news from famous publications, occasionally accompanied by unexpected religious images.

In place of the once vibrant and professionally managed site, it is now a bleak, empty image with a message that reads “No Items Found.” The account on X, which previously updated the site, notes that the last news update was in late April, according to their X page.

Prior to its launch, West began trademarking “Yews,” which covered a wide range of areas including education, advertising, banking, music streaming, television, beauty products, food and beverage, gaming, apparel, footwear, kitchenware, alcoholic beverages, and more.

The “Donda” hitmaker’s recent pause in sharing posts remains a mystery, while changes have been observed on his Yeezy fashion site during this time. In an effort to attract more customers, West has significantly reduced the prices of his merchandise, offering T-shirts, joggers, and sweatshirts for a bargain price of just $20 each.

This comes after a legal filing in US District Court, where a lawsuit was filed against West and his wife, Bianca Censori. The lawsuit alleges that West and his former chief of staff, Milo Yiannopoulos, engaged in a toxic and harmful work environment during the production of an app that supported West’s music career.

As detailed in the legal complaint, reviewed by TMZ, West and Yiannopoulos engaged in providing services to a growing global group of individuals of African descent and minors as young as 14. The lawsuit alleges that Ye aimed to avoid the need to compensate these companies for marketing his latest music project, Vulture And Vulture 2. During their daily work routines, remote team members maintain steady communication channels with West, Yiannopoulos, and their colleagues through various digital tools like Discord, Zoom, and Slack .

However, working conditions deteriorated as supervisors hired by West, who were predominantly white, were said to have created a toxic work environment for international and minority employees through the use of offensive language.

Allegations surfaced that employees, some of whom were underage, were forced to work long hours without compensation or breaks, were subjected to racial slurs and lost humanity due to being labeled a “modern-day slave”.

It was further alleged that Censori shared inappropriate content with a colleague, which unintentionally exposed the minor to explicit material while working on the app.

After completing the application on May 1, 2024, the group presented their work to the West but found themselves unpaid. The workers then initiated legal action to seek unpaid wages, overtime pay, and compensation for mental distress.
