Taylor Swift wowed fans across the globe with her Eras Tour, but not everyone.
In a screenshot shared to Reddit, a Swift fan commented on TikTok about the singer and her Eras Tour finale, saying Swift wasn’t “in spirit” during the finale on the day. December 8.
“I paid almost $10,000 for my ticket and was extremely disappointed on closing night. I love Taylor forever. That was terrible. She wasn’t even there,” the comment read.
One responder commented that Swift played all the surprise songs the audience wanted.
“What did you expect? She played all the surprise songs we wanted. It was so good,” they shared.
Commenters in the area responded to the comment, revealing that it was the “same show” on all of Swift’s nights in Vancouver.
“It was the same show three nights in a row. No costume changes. No surprises. The script was the same every night. And she was only half there in spirit.”
That wasn’t the only fan complaining about the final stop. One person recounted that night on TikTok, but users expressed disdain in the comments section.
“I love Taylor but I feel like she could do something more special for Vancouver N3. I mean even London N8 is better,” one person said.
Another suggested: “I’m not expecting an announcement, but I would love to have Aaron and Jack as the final guests, or something small, like a new costume at the end.”
“I hate to say it, but I feel the same way. I feel sorry for Vancouver. They almost took the blame. ‘What a lame goodbye,'” another disappointed fan commented .
“I’m pretty sure she didn’t even wave goodbye and just hugged her dancers and left the door??” one TikTok user complained.
While some fans may not have been happy with Eras’ final performance, most of Swift’s staff felt the same way when it was revealed that she gave her crew $197 million la bonus.
Those included in Swift’s rewards include truck drivers, caterers, musical instrument technicians, sales teams, lighting, sound, production staff and assistants, carpenters, dancers, bands, security, choreographers, pyrotechnics, setters, hairdressers, makeup, wardrobe, physical therapy and video teams, according to Everybody.
The reward came when Swift made history with the Eras Tour. According to the New York Times, the trip was attended by 10,168,008 fans and grossed $2,077,618,725.
At the end of the tour, Swift told the audience that it was the most “challenging” thing she had ever done in her life.
“We traveled all over the world. We had so many adventures. It was the most exciting, powerful, powerful, intense and challenging thing I’ve ever done in my entire life” , she said. Everybody.
“I want to thank each and every one of you for being a part of the most thrilling chapter of my life to date – my beloved Eras Tour,” she concluded.
