Former NHL player Konstantin Koltsov, the partner of tennis star Aryna Sabalenka, has died in what authorities are investigating as an “apparent suicide,” according to a Miami-Dade Police report.
The sad incident happened at St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort early Monday morning, prompting a response from law enforcement. Miami-Dade Police Department Homicide Bureau took over the investigation, stressing that no foul play was suspected.
The news sent shockwaves through the sporting community, especially in Belarus, where the Belarusian Hockey Federation expressed its condolences to Koltsov’s family, friends and colleagues.
