Kendrick Lamar’s record year is something only music stars can dream of, but his latest achievement has more twists.
On December 23, Billboard has announced the final two spots in its list of the year’s greatest pop stars. Sabrina Carpenter came in 2nd place, while Lamar took 1st place.
However, his position has not been without controversy and he has been criticized, mainly due to people claiming that he is not a “pop” star but rather a rap star .

Others questioned the ongoing feud between Lamar and Drake.

Lamar and Drake have an ongoing feud that has led to the possibility of Drake taking legal action against UMG.
