LAHORE: Reports circulating on social media suggest that Indian business tycoon Sajjan Jindal, along with his wife Sangita Jindal, made a short visit to Jati Umra in Lahore to attend the wedding of Zaid Hussain Nawaz, his nephew son of former Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
According to Express News, Jindal flew to Pakistan on a private plane to attend the event. His visit, said to be brief, is said to have seen him arrive in Lahore from Mumbai at around 11:43 am, by way of an Indian-registered private aircraft, VT-JST.
The wedding attracted considerable attention, with family members, political figures and international guests in attendance. The Walima reception, scheduled for Sunday, December 29, is expected to welcome 500 guests at Baraat and approximately 700 guests at Walima.
The Nikkah and Mehndi ceremonies had earlier taken place at Jati Umra, which was lavishly decorated for the celebration. Guests are expected from the US, UK, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, UAE and India.
