Stephanie Dana and her husband, baseball star Tyler Austin, met when Tyler was attending Heritage High School in 2009. They were juniors in high school. At the time, Stephanie was the manager of her school’s baseball team, which was a rival of Tyler’s baseball team.

Stephanie and Tyler met at a party but did not hit it off immediately. During their first meeting, Tyler bragged about how many times he would beat Salem High School, where Stephanie attended. Hearing this, Stephanie walked away and was annoyed with him.

But, on the day of the Salem vs Heritage High game, Tyler missed his first pitch. He was booed and called out, and Stephanie was furious with her friends’ behavior. The second time he pitched, Stephanie was the only one cheering him on from the dugout. She was reprimanded for rooting for the opposing team, especially after Austin hit multiple home runs.
