Will Justin Timberlake cancel his concert after DWI arrest? The ‘desperate’ singer did not let his fans down

Justin Timberlake’s tour dates may be canceled after his DWI arrest, but a report also says he still wants to perform in Chicago soon.

Sources recently told TMZ what Timberlake planned to do after he was stopped and arrested on suspicion of drunk driving in the Hamptons on Tuesday, June 28. Sag Harbor Police Village said he was driving a gray 2025 BMW XM on Madison Street when he skidded. Stop regardless of the sign before moving into the lane of oncoming traffic.

The criminal complaint notes that he had a “strong odor of alcoholic beverages” coming from his breath and bloodshot glassy eyes when police pulled him over. Additionally, his slurred speech and poor performance on the field sobriety test confirmed that he “was operating his vehicle while intoxicated.”

According to insiders, Timberlake will still perform in Chicago as scheduled.

On the other hand, separate sources informed The Sun about how desperate he was not to cancel his show.

“Justin’s team will work to see if they can ensure he can perform in Poland,” the insider told The Sun. “He will now appear in court on the same day he begins his European tour. He was supposed to play two nights there. He won’t want to disappoint his fans.”

Timberlake is on The Forget Tomorrow World Tour, his first tour in five years. He headlined his latest show in Miami on Saturday and will return to the stage on Friday.

His team also new date announced for his stops in New York, New Jersey, Washington, DC, Toronto, Ohio, Chicago and Atlanta days before the incident.

The details of the DWI case have not yet been disclosed, but the criminal complaint also quotes Timberlake as admitting to drinking a martini before being arrested. He refused to be tested for impairment.

NBC News legal analyst Danny Cevallos commented on Timberlake’s denial, saying, “The denial could be introduced at trial to establish conscious evidence of guilt. It is grounds for revocation of driving privileges.”

Timberlake was ordered to appear in Sag Harbor Village Court on July 26.
