Wilson Mutagewa Kajumula Mashiringi was born on July 12, 1956 in Tanganyika, Tanzania. He was raised by his parents, Mr and Mrs Mashiringi, and therefore much of his family life was kept secret. He graduated from the Faculty of Law at the University of Dar es Salaam in 1983.
