Early life
Yassine Meriah’s bright future was seen by his parents when his football talent was discovered at a young age. Starting by playing with his siblings in their neighborhood and becoming a star player in his elementary, middle and high school teams, Yassine had a strong passion for football.
The talented young man, Yassine Meriah was born to the Meriah family on July 2, 1993. He is Tunisian and grew up in a middle-class family in Ariana. For the young Yassine, football became a means to lift his family out of financial challenges and ensure that his family did not lack for anything. Career
Yassine Meriah played for AS Ariana for a while before moving to bigger club ES Métlaoui at the age of 20. He had a great time at the club, appearing in 27 matches. At that time, he was called up to join the Tunisian Olympic Team for the 2016 Olympics held in Russia.
He joined CS Sfaxien in the 2014-2015 season and became one of the active players of the team. He stayed at the club for three seasons, appearing in 81 matches and scoring 6 goals. In 2018, Greek top-flight club Olympiacos welcomed him to their team on a four-year contract. Yassine Meriah had a good time with the team, appearing in 23 matches and scoring one goal. He has been loaned out twice: the first time to Kamipasa while he is currently playing for Çaykur Rizespor. He has played in 24 matches for the latter club, scoring one goal.
Favor found Yassine in 2015 when he was invited to join the Tunisian national team. His first goal was against DR goalkeeper. He played in the 2018 FIFA World Cup held in Russia and the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations held in Egypt.
