YouTuber Rajab Butt was released after being arrested for wildlife violations

LAHORE: Popular YouTuber Rajab Butt, who was arrested on Sunday, has been released on personal recognizance. The arrest was made on charges of “illegal possession” of a lion cub and displaying weapons in public.

According to reports, the Wildlife Department and police raided Butt’s residence in Common area on his wedding day after receiving information about illegal possession of lion cubs and weapons. It is believed that the lion cub was given to Butt as a wedding gift.

According to Punjab Wildlife Department regulations, keeping lions without a valid license is prohibited. After the raid, the TikToker was arrested and transferred to the local police station.
