Ariana Grande defended herself for constantly changing her voice, saying she did it on purpose

Ariana Grande has gone viral on social media after a clip from a recent interview showed her changing her voice mid-sentence. After the video spread online, many people criticized the pop star, forcing her to defend herself and explain what happened.

The musician recently appeared on Penn Badgley’s podcast Has been crushed. ONE A clip of the episode was shared on social media and fans pointed out that Grande changed the pitch of her voice.

The “Honeymoon Avenue” singer started out with a deeper voice, then got higher as she talked about recording new music.

“Change the voice??” the TikTok user wrote in the video that went viral on the platform and received over 700,000 likes.

Grande then took to the comments section to explain her stance and said that she’s been doing it for two years for the health of her voice.

“I purposely change my vocal position (high/low) every so often depending on how hard I’m singing… I’ve always done this GREATLY,” she added.

This is not the first time the female singer has received criticism for changing her voice. She also faced similar backlash when she attended this year’s Oscars with her. sinister co-star Cynthia Erivo.

Many fans later noted that the musician sounded higher than her natural voice.

In other singer updates, Grande is set to release a remix version of her song “The Boy Is Mine” with Brandy and Monica, who released the song of the same name in 1998.

Taking to her official Instagram account to announce the collaboration, the singer said she couldn’t believe it was happening and she thanked the two R&B legends for joining her on the song.

She wrote: “I extend my deepest and most sincere thanks to Brandy and Monica, not only for joining me in this moment but also for your generosity, your kindness and the countless ways in which you You inspired me.”

She further noted that this collaboration honors Brandy and Monica’s impact on many people, including singers, vocal producers, songwriters and artists.

“i love you both so much. thank you!!!!!!!” she added.

The two musicians previously collaborated with Grande by appearing on the original track’s official music video.

The remix version of “The Boy is Mine” will be released on June 21, 2024.
