Miley Cyrus reveals the reason she doesn’t make friends with many famous people

Despite being one of the most famous pop stars in the world, Miley Cyrus revealed that she doesn’t have many friends in the entertainment industry.

Speaking with David Letterman, Cyrus shared the reason why she was skeptical about making friends with her co-workers.

“I am not very active and I am not an active member of my community of other artists, entertainers and celebrities,” Cyrus revealed, as reported by Marca. “I just don’t feel like I’m my own person in places like that. But there are some artists like Beyonce who, like us, have known each other for a long time.”

According to Cyrus, she prefers “quality” over “quantity”, confessing that she has very few people at her disposal.

During the interview, Cyrus recalled standing in line with musical greats like Mary J. Blige and Mariah Carey and standing between Rihanna and Beyoncé at the 2008 Just Stand Up performance.

“I was sandwiched between Rihanna and Queen Bey,” Cyrus recalls. “Everyone was grown up, beautiful, probably the same age as me now. They were like two towering towers in front of me, completely overwhelming. I was small, had acne, had braces, and was next to Mariah . Carey, who was covered in diamonds, and Beyonce were very kind to me.”

In addition to Bey, Mariah and Rih, Cyrus also spoke fondly of her godmother, the great Dolly Parton.

Apparently, Parton was responsible for pushing Cyrus to attend the 2024 Grammy Awards.

“I told her, ‘I was wondering if I was going to the Grammys,” Cyrus recalled telling the Country icon. “And she said, ‘Well, of course you’re going to win a Grammy. And you’re not just going to show up, you’re going to show off. And you’re going to be everything you were sitting right in front of me and she said , ‘And don’t forget the beauty – the hair, the makeup, the whole show.'”

Cyrus then had the biggest nights of her career. She won her first two Grammy Awards for the song “Fflowers” – Recording and Best Pop Solo Performance of the Year.
