Britney Spears’ son Jayden has reportedly taken the first steps in mending and strengthening his relationship with her.
An insider confirmed to Page Six, “Jayden texted Britney to say he was back home. She was happy to hear the news and see him again.”
Following his stepmother Victoria Prince’s new position at the University of Hawaii, Jayden and his brother Sean Preston decided to move to Hawaii last year.
Since 2008, the boys have been under the full guardianship of their father, Kevin Federline, after he separated from Britney a year earlier.
Mark Vincent Kaplan, the attorney representing Kevin, recently revealed that the former DJ was aware of Jayden’s intention to visit his pop star mother.
Additionally, the store insider said: “[Jayden] ready to mend his relationship with his mother and see where things go. It will take time and reconciliation will not be possible immediately. They met twice and the meeting was very brief.”
Page Six reported that Britney Spears reunited with her son Jayden after his 18th birthday.

Another source told Us Weekly, “Jayden and Britney have a great relationship” and confirmed that he intends to stay in California due to his upcoming plans to attend college in the state.
The possibility of Preston’s brother reuniting with Britney in the near future is still uncertain.
News of Jayden and the “Toxic” singer seemingly reconciling comes shortly as Britney prepares to release her final child support payment on Friday, November 15.
For the past 17 years, she has regularly sent $10,000 to her ex-husband every two months.
Initially, Kevin received $40,000 monthly from the singer due to their children living with him in Hawaii, but they reached a settlement of $20,000 when their eldest son, Sean Preston, turned 18.
