Camila Cabello Almost Quit Performing at Festivals After Isle of Wright Disaster — Here’s Why

Camila Cabello successfully performed in front of thousands of fans at Glastonbury over the weekend, but her performance almost didn’t happen because she initially wanted to stop performing at festivals after a certain disaster at a previous event.

The singer spoke to Bizarre and revealed that her performance at the annual music event had “a huge crowd”.

She also noted that she feels nervous performing on stages like this because “people aren’t necessarily there just to see you,” adding that she always expects the worst, but she was surprised by how warm and engaged the crowd was.

“It’s hot so I can totally understand if people are cranky and folding their arms,” she added.

Cabello later recalled performing at the Isle of Wright and said that it was “difficult” and got to the point where she almost wanted to quit performing at festivals because of it.

She also remembers arriving from Denmark ahead of the Glastonbury festival, where she landed at six in the morning before her performance.

Although she wanted to party and watch other acts at the venue after the show, she couldn’t do so because “I would pass out. I was exhausted.”

However, she was able to make up for it on Tuesday when she attended a party in London for a wine brand event.

In other updates, Camila Cabello released her new album C, XOXO, featuring collaborations with Playboi Carti, Lil Nas X, Drake and many more.

In an interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe, she opened up about how her two songs with Drake came to fruition, saying it all started when she messaged him on Instagram.

“I think we have a lot in common musically, and lyrically. I actually texted him directly, and I was like, ‘I listened to you a lot for this album,’ a lot of the wordplay and my aspirations for the bars,” she says.

They then came up with the idea for the song “Hot Uptown” and cut the track into a duet. The outro was then reworked, but they decided to turn it into a completely different song, so “UUUgly” was released.

“I didn’t want to have a song like ‘Hot Uptown’ and then have it go into a minute-long tune where he’s talking nonsense, so we decided to turn it into a different song,” she added.
