early life
El Coriso was born on January 13 in the late 1990s to Southern parents. He is from Osula, Benin City.
A well-bred Edo boy who spoke the Bini dialect fluently, he spent his formative years in a popular neighbourhood of Benin City.
He and his siblings were raised by their parents’ Christian faith, and as a teenager he expressed to his parents his desire to pursue a professional music career, having discovered his musical talent while still a choir boy.
His parents fully supported his decision but advised him to focus on his studies first.
