Crazy Town was founded in 1995 by Shellshock and fellow rapper Bret “Epic” Mazur. The group includes members such as DJ Rick One, Mark White, Adam Bravin, Charles Lopez and others.

They rose to considerable fame with their 2000 single “Butterfly”, which topped the US Billboard Hot 100 chart for two non-consecutive weeks. After the disappointing reception of their second album, Crazy Town disbanded in 2003.

After the lackluster reception of the group’s second album, Shellshock launched a solo career in 2002. His notable success came with the hit “Starry Eyed Surprise”, a collaboration with Paul Oakenfold that reached number one. 41st place on the rankings.

In 2012, he faced legal problems, including battery and cocaine possession charges. According to Variety, he was hospitalized that same year after losing consciousness and going into a coma, from which he eventually recovered.

However, the band reunited four years later and released their third album, “The Brimstone Sluggers” in 2015.

In 2017, Shellshock changed the band name Crazy Town X.
