Willie Nelson health update: Singer returns to tour after health woes

Willie Nelson was previously unable to perform at the opening date of his ongoing Outlaw Music Festival tour due to health issues, but now it has been reported that doctors have cleared the artist to perform, so fans can expect him to return to the stage in the next few days.

According to Consequence, the singer missed the weekend’s shows but will continue his tour at the Xfinity Center in Mansfield, MA, on July 2, 2024.

“Doctors have cleared Willie Nelson to continue performing… He will continue performing on the Outlaw Tour next week,” a statement posted on his social media accounts said.

The announcement made it clear that Nelson will not be performing this weekend. However, his son, Lukas Nelson, and the Family Band will continue to perform, along with other performers including Bob Dylan, Celisse, Alison Krauss, and Robert Plant.

“In addition, Lukas Nelson and Family, along with some special guests, will play his own set, including Willie classics and other songs,” the statement continued.

The Outlaw Music Festival tour will continue over the next several months, with stops in cities like St. Louis, Somerset, Tinley Park, Burgettstown, Buffalo, and more.

The final show is scheduled for September 17, 2024, at Darien Lake Amphitheater in Buffalo, NY.
