Dennis Lyxzen health update: Denied singer has heart attack, cancels upcoming show

Dennis Lyxzen, best known as the lead vocalist of Refused, shared a shocking announcement on social media, confirming that he was having health problems and had no choice but to cancel. the band’s upcoming performances.

On his official Instagram account, the male singer shared a photo of himself lying in a hospital bed with many tubes attached to his body. He appeared in good spirits, smiling at the camera and holding up a peace sign.

In the caption, he revealed that he had a “massive heart attack” in his hotel room and that it was “extremely painful” and “extremely scary.”

“Thanks to the wonderful doctors and nurses at Uppsala hospital, I can still fight another day.

In that situation, I felt fine. Sore, tired and really shaky,” he added.

The musician shared another piece of bad news with his fans, as he had to cancel upcoming Refused concerts as doctors advised him to recover for a few weeks.

The band was scheduled to perform at the Resandal Garden Party but had to cancel the appearance due to Lyxzen’s health condition.

“It’s disappointing because I was really looking forward to it. But hopefully I/we will make it up to you soon,” he added.

There is a glimmer of hope for the rock musician as he noted that he can return to normal with the help of medication and he hopes that it will be sooner rather than later.

“Life is strange and precious. Take care of each person and tell your loved ones that you love them,” he concluded.

The comments section was filled with love, support and positive messages from fans, with one person writing: “Wow! I’m so glad you pulled through! And I hope you have a speedy recovery, But take your time! Be safe and rest, my friend.”

As of this writing, Refused has no upcoming shows, but Lyxzen members Magnus Flagg and David Sandstrom formed a jazz group called Backengrillen as a side project last year.

“There are some familiar faces like me on vocals, David on drums and Magnus on bass. You know, mostly Refused. Joining us is free jazz genius Mats Gustafsson on saxophone, flute and noise. wild, spontaneous and a lot of fun.” the singer said last year.
