Diddy’s mother spoke out, saying she was in pain watching ‘The World Turn Its Back’ on her son

Sean “Diddy” Combs’ mother has come to her son’s defense amid accusations of sex trafficking and sexual abuse.

Nearly a month after Diddy’s arrest in New York City, Janice Smalls Combs released a statement calling for her son’s “public execution” before he could stand trial for racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking and transportation to engage in prostitution.

In a statement sent by her lawyer to several news outlets, including Page Six, Janice asserted that Diddy’s case was nothing more than a “story made up of lies.”

She said she was heartbroken and pained to see “the world turn its back” on Diddy because of “lies and misconceptions” and before he had a chance to “share his perspective” on story and “prove your innocence”.

Janice admitted the Bad Boy Records founder “made mistakes,” including denying being violent with his ex-girlfriend.

She referenced surveillance footage that surfaced earlier this year showing Diddy hitting his then-girlfriend Cassie Ventura in a hotel hallway in 2016. After CNN posted the video, the record executive went public sorry for my behavior.

Janice emphasized that just because her son wasn’t completely honest about the 2016 incident doesn’t mean he’s guilty of the other charges against him.

She pointed out that many individuals have been wrongly convicted because of past actions and because they “do not fit the image that this society holds as ‘good people'”.

According to Diddy’s mother, the rapper’s accusers are allegedly seeking “financial gain” with their lawsuits, echoing previous comments made by her son and his attorney.

Janice went on to criticize the many individuals who have accused Diddy of sexual assault, saying their “false accusations” are undermining faith in real victims.

She also claimed that prosecutors built the case against her son based on “lies.”

“My son is not the monster they painted him out to be and he deserves a chance to have his side,” Janice wrote. “I can only pray that I live to see him tell the truth and be exonerated.”

Diddy, who recently faced a wave of 120 new sexual assault charges, has pleaded not guilty to all charges and maintains his innocence.

He remains detained in Brooklyn while awaiting trial.
