Dua Lipa’s reaction to her Ukulele performance at Glastonbury gave viewers “level 3 chills”

Dua Lipa’s headline performance on the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury received rave reviews, but it was her reaction to another performer at Glasto that catapulted her to fame – albeit a rather negative one.

While leisurely strolling around the festival grounds, the “Houdini” singer was approached by @liamcmusic_, a street performer known for his ukulele performances featured in social media videos.

A video shared by Liam shows the moment he excitedly plays “30 seconds of my new song” to Dua, looking a little uncomfortable. Fans who can see the video actually feel embarrassed for Liam, if not sorry.

“I saw your documentary about Camden and it was amazing. I’m doing a show around Camden at the moment and I want to play you 30 seconds of my song and if you like it, I just want to know your reaction and that’s it,” the performer told her.

At the 30-second mark, Dua politely tells Liam, “I love it man, it’s great, it’s great,” then she walks away while he continues singing.

Her unimpressed response went viral, with one person tweeting: “That video of that guy singing Dua Lipa at Glastonbury gave me the creeps.”

Another shared a screenshot of Dua’s unimpressed face, joking: “Every woman on earth can empathize with Dua Lipa waiting for that guy to stop playing the guitar.”

“Dua hun, blink twice if you need help,” one person humorously commented.

Others defended Liam, with one person musing: “I dunno, if playing a bad song and looking like an idiot gets you a hug from Dua Lipa then I’ll buy a ukulele.”

Liam proudly shared a video of his impromptu performance for Dua Lipa before opening up in a subsequent Instagram post about how he found himself at the festival in an unconventional way. Reflecting on the experience, he candidly admitted to “lurking” into Glastonbury, seizing the opportunity to showcase his music amid the festival’s electric atmosphere.

Despite the initial challenges and unexpected turn of events, Liam expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to perform and connect with both fans and fellow musicians at such a high-profile event. His post was met with sympathy from followers who admired his determination and applauded his bold approach.

Sharing footage of himself being escorted out of the venue, he explained: “@glastofest is crazy, I did it to promote myself.”

Dua Lipa recently shared exciting news with fans, revealing plans for her upcoming stadium tour in a hilarious advert for Priority from O2, giving fans the chance to buy tickets 48 hours before they go on general sale.

The announcement comes after a report from a source quoted in The Sun revealed that, “[Dua’s] The last tour was sold out, but it was an arena tour, doing a stadium tour is amazing, especially since she’s only on her third album.”

The source went on to stress the significance of the milestone for the pop star, noting that it marks the culmination of years of hard work since she moved to London from Kosovo when she was just 15.
