Legendary musician Elton John has spoken out about his health. He shared that after an eye infection, he became blind in one eye.
Speaking in an interview, the 77-year-old music superstar said: “I unfortunately lost the sight of my right eye in July because of an infection in the South of France…It’s been 4 months since I can’t anymore. to see. My left eye is not the best.”
He frankly shared that he always had hope that his eyesight would recover, but now he is forced to live with the illness. He says it also causes problems for his work, “Because I can’t see the lyrics to begin with.”
John said doctors are trying to treat his eye problems, but he remains grateful for the life he has.
Speaking about his upcoming Disney+ documentary, Elton John: Never Too Late, he said: “I’m very proud of the documentary. I’m proud of my sons. I’m proud of my attitude towards myself and what’s going on.”
The Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony winner – also known as the ‘EGOT winner’ – shared in September that he was healing from a serious eye infection that had impaired his vision reduce. Previously, in January, the male singer also underwent knee replacement surgery, followed by a similar surgery for the other knee in March.
Joking about all his health problems, he said in October, “To be honest with you, I don’t have much left. I have no tonsils, adenoids or appendix. I don’t have a prostate. I don’t have a right hip, left knee or right knee. In fact, the only thing I have left is my left hip.”
“But I’m still here,” Elton John said.
