Halle Bailey shows off son Halo in new family photo with partner DDG

Halle Bailey has finally shown the face of her son, Halo, in new photos from the family’s trip to Italy. In a series of photos she shared on Instagram, Bailey is all smiles with her boyfriend, DDG, and their son, Halo.

“Halo’s first time in Italy,” she captioned the carousel.

Fans expressed their happiness at finally getting to see the couple’s son, who she gave birth to in December 2023, after keeping her pregnancy a secret for nine months.

“Wow, he really looks like you,” one fan commented on who Halo looks more like.

“He’s so cute, I don’t blame you guys for keeping his handsome face,” another commented.

“You know what, he actually looks a lot like @chloebailey! He’s perfect!” one person compared.

DDG also posted photos from the photoshoot on his account, asking people who their son looked more like.

Bailey’s pregnancy with Halo was difficult. The “Little Mermaid” star disclosure that she suffered from postpartum depression in April 2024.

“I had very severe postpartum, very severe. [depression]And I don’t know if any new moms can understand, but it got to a really bad point, and I found it hard to be away from my baby for more than 30 minutes without starting to panic,” she confirmed.

According to the Mayo Clinic, most new mothers experience the “baby blues” after giving birth. This includes mood swings, anxiety, crying spells, and even trouble sleeping. However, a more serious condition called postpartum depression is characterized by a form of depression that lasts for a long time.

“Halo is a miracle. He’s perfect. He’s beautiful. When I look at him, I cry because he’s so special. The only thing that’s hard for me is feeling normal in my own body,” Bailey added. “Before I had him and I heard people talking about postpartum, I just thought it went in one ear and out the other. I didn’t realize how serious it really was,” Bailey shared.
