Excerpt from the interview:

Q.1. Jagranjosh – How would you describe yourself? Where did you finish your studies and tell us something about your family?

Answer: I am Prarthana Drolia from Patna, Bihar. I’m excited to try different types of activities, whether it’s dancing or painting, playing basketball or swimming, I love to constantly learn and explore. I completed my 12th grade at Notre Dame Academy, Patna.

My family includes a housewife mother, a businessman father and an older sister.

Q.2. Jagranjosh – What motivated you to appear in CUET UG? Have you taken another entrance exam?

A: Everyone wants guaranteed admission to the best universities. I want to pursue B.Com (Hons) from Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi University, one of the most prestigious institutes not only in the country. I had a period of two months between the board exam and the CUET entrance exam to prepare. I didn’t appear for any other entrance exam because I didn’t want to divert my focus from CUET even a little bit.

Question 3. Jagranjosh – What was your score in CUET exam?

A: My CUET UG results are as follows

England – 199.64

Accounting, business studies and economics – 200

Math – 167.61

General check – 182.98

Total 799,647/800

Q.4. Jagranjosh – Why did you choose SRCC?

A: I heard about Shri Ram College of Commerce from my friends and teachers. In addition, I also researched universities for B.Com (Hons) degree, I realized that the appearance of universities was very impressive. They also have a good location. However, in addition to SRCC, I also applied to St. Xaviers College in Calcutta.

Question 5. Jagranjosh – When did you start preparing for the CUET exam?

A: I started preparing for the CUET UG exam after completing my university exams. I researched all the extracurricular activities like accounting on the computer and decided to try these questions to save time on the test.

P.6. Jagranjosh – What study techniques or strategies did you use that you believe contributed to your exceptional success in the CUET 2023 exam?

A: Studying the boards thoroughly really helped me a lot as the syllabus was almost the same. Also, if you are preparing for subjective tests, cracking a purely MCQ-based test becomes quite easy. I started preparing for remedial studies at CUET only after the board exams. There is a gap of about 2 months between the board and CUET. Just covering the supplement and practicing MCQs is enough.

I completed my tutoring program first. After that, I repeated each chapter and then solved the MCQs of that chapter. After completing all the chapters this way, I solved last year’s questions sent to me by a YouTuber who was also my senior at SRCC, after filling out a Google form.

P.7. Jagranjosh – Did you have a structured study schedule or routine to prepare for CUET UG 2023 and if so, how did you manage your time effectively?

A: No, I don’t have any fixed study habits. The only goal I had in mind was to study each chapter, solve the MCQs for the chapters and finally solve the previous year’s questions before the exam.

I think effective time management can only be achieved through consistency so that you are not burdened right before the exam, which can cause you to lose sleep quality as well as mental peace. God.

P.8. Jagranjosh – How many CUET domains have you taken?

A: I took English, accounting, economics, business, math and a general test.

P.9. Jagranjosh – Which subject are you best at and which subject are you weakest at? Are NCERT books enough for preparation?

Answer: I’m not weak in any subject, but I like accounting and math more because these subjects mostly have practice questions. Even macroeconomics and microeconomics are conceptually based, so it is relatively easier for me. Theory-based subjects like Business Studies and Indian Economic Development seemed a bit boring to me. Even with preparation, scoring against them is not difficult!

P.10. Jagranjosh – How will you balance your academic commitments with extracurricular activities or personal interests during CUET 2023?

A: Because I prepared from the first day, my exam load was not much, which helped me balance my time between studying and personal interests.

Ward 11. Jagranjosh – Which is your dream university to pursue your UG program? What are your aspirations in your program area and what majors are you interested in?

P.12. Jagranjosh – Going forward, what are your future aspirations and goals and how do you plan to continue your studies?

Answer: I want to become a businessman! Regarding my education, I am currently preparing for the Chartered Accountancy Diploma with B.Com. I am also planning to take the CFA exam after graduation.

Courses like MBA, FRM etc are also very important and will really help anyone build a good career! I think I will have a clear idea once I finish studying because then I will be more aware of my interests and explore what each course has to offer!
