Early life and education
Jon Kortajarena was born on May 19, 1985. He was born and raised in Bilbao Biscay, Basque Country, Spain. He is 39 years old.
His mother’s name is Nuria Redruello Sánchez while his father’s name is unknown.
Jon Kortajarena’s talent and fashion sense were discovered in September 2003 while he was on vacation in Barcelona with a friend who invited him to attend a fashion show.

In the early days of 2010, Jon Kortajarena started the year by doing advertising campaigns for H&M, True Trussardi and Esprit. Later that same year, he modeled alongside Alexa Chung for Pepe Jeans’ fall/winter campaign.
In 2011, he was chosen as one of the leading models for Lacoste’s new $66 million advertising campaign with the slogan “Unconventional Chic.” The ad was shot by Mert and Marcus; the models appear to be wearing Lacoste’s iconic white polo shirt over denim pants in the ad.
He also appeared on the cover of Vogue Spain alongside Anja Rubik and Andres Velencoso. The two models described Jon as a symbol of sexiness and masculinity.
Jon Kortajarena was then chosen to be the main character for the special video version of Roberto Cavalli’s Spring/Summer 2012 men’s runway show. The fashion show was opened and held at the Palazzo Serbelloni in Milan. He was then chosen as the face of David Yurman for the third consecutive time.
