Kim Cruse On The Voice
Kim Cruse’s journey on The Voice 22 began in the seventh (or final) blind audition when she sang her Best Part perfectly and left all the coaches speechless. While all four coaches tried their best to get the talented Kim on their team, she chose Team Legend.
For the round that aired on NBC on October 24, Kim was paired with David Andrew in which they sang Giveon’s Heartbreak Anniversary. Kim advanced to the Knockout Round while David was eliminated from the competition.
In the Knockout Round, Kim sang I Can’t Stand the Rain by Ann Peebies and reached the Top 16 – Knockout Round beating Emma Brooke, who sang I Hope, and The Marilynds, who sang Chasing Cars.
In the Top 16 round, Kim Cruise sang the classic song I Never Loved a Man (The Way I Love You) by Aretha Franklin and advanced to the next round because she was John Legend’s choice. Now, in the Top 13 round, Kim Cruse performed the song Always on My Mind by Willie Nelson and was saved by the Public vote and advanced to the Top 10 Round.
The theme of the Top 10 Round is Fan Week, in which the public chooses the songs that artists will perform. Viewers chose Rihanna’s Love on the Brain and oh my god, did she pull it off. Kim’s performance is rich, vibrant and powerful. Although there are no results yet, she easily reached the semi-finals of The Voice 2022.
