Missy Elliot made six secret, unreleased albums during a 19-year hiatus: Report

Superstar Missy Elliott has revealed that she owns a staggering six unreleased albums. It can be said that during her supposed 19-year hiatus, she was continuously making music without releasing it.

The Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter and producer, 52, recently discussed her upcoming world tour and hinted at new music prospects, marking the album’s release Her first in 19 years.

Missy Elliott recently caused a stir online with a space-themed promotional video announcing her upcoming “Out of This World” tour on her social media platforms.

Her highly anticipated 24-city North American tour will feature her longtime friends and collaborators R&B star Ciara, 38, and rap icon Busta Rhymes, 51 , along with special guest and co-producer Timbaland, 52.

The tour will kick off this summer, starting at Vancouver’s famous Rogers Arena in July and ending at Chicago’s Allstate Arena in August. What’s surprising is that despite her illustrious career, Missy Elliott hasn’t never held a solo tour before.

In fact, the last time she toured regularly was on the Verizon Ladies First tour in 2004, alongside Beyoncé, 42, Alicia Keys, 43, and Tamia, 49.
