The 43-year-old artist posted a photo of himself appearing calm as he walked the red carpet. According to his lengthy caption, which alluded to a backstage incident at the event, the photo was taken before things took a turn for the worse.

“First #BET and then after! – I’m really at the end of my rope!” he captioned the photo on his Instagram Story. ‘I always planned to provide for my family and have generational wealth. But money is evil and people are a group and I can’t take it anymore!”
Kim Kardashian’s ex added, “These chain reactions stem from being stuck in a false/confused reality about this entire life!”
In response to the turbulent events unfolding, the artist expressed that the situation was truly “horrible”, making him “suicidal and uncomfortable with the perception of reality”.
Ray J alleges that BET Awards staff prevented him from returning to the show, saying they locked him out and gave no explanation for their actions.

“I don’t know who they don’t want me to see – it’s weird,” he said.

Near the end of his speech, Ray J concluded, “THEY PAID ME TO SHUT UP AND I DID! I FEEL BAD AND HATE MYSELF FOR IT! I DON’T WANT TO REMEMBER YOUR DIRTY MONEY ANYMORE!!'”
He ended his message with a farewell to his sister Brandy and a heartfelt pledge to clear things up.

According to a report by Us Weekly, he and Zeus Network CEO Lemuel Plummer confronted each other outside rapper GloRilla’s BET Awards after-party, leading to a fight.
The video that went viral online captured the moment the two individuals engaged in a tense exchange. The exchange culminated with Ray J attempting to punch Plummer, only to be stopped by security and escorted away from the scene.
Vibe reported in May that Ray J had accused Plummer of coercing and mistreating women to secure appearances on the Zeus Network show. Ray J even mentioned the possibility of legal action against Plummer. While there was speculation that Ray J’s motives may have been related to promoting his Tronix Network, he has denied the allegations.
