Sabrina Carpenter did not betray Taylor Swift, communicated with the singer before accepting the invitation to cooperate with Kim Kardashian SKIMS

Earlier this year, Taylor Swift fans were shocked when Sabrina Carpenter collaborated with Kim Kardashian for her brand SKIMS and most thought she had “betrayed” Taylor Swift. More recently, the rising pop star explained her stance and revealed that she spoke with her good friend before accepting the offer.

Swift has been involved in a feud with Keeping Up With the Kardashians star for years, and many are even speculating that her new song “thank you aIMee” is a ghost of the reality star.

On the other hand, the pop superstar has a close friendship with Carpenter as she was the support act for several dates of the Eras tour.

In a new interview with Rolling Stone, the “Espresso” singer revealed that appearing in the SKIMS campaign didn’t harm her friendship with the singer because they’ve talked about it.

“Even though people want to believe that you pay attention to every little thing, I don’t because I’m constantly working. In that case, I was very, very clear with her about the situation.” that,” she noted, adding that she loves Swift and will support her “to the end.”

“It’s not weird to me, but I know people will just say those things because that’s all they have time to do,” the musician added.

The recent news comes months after fans shared their opinions on Carpenter working with Kardashian, even though Swift and the latter are not on good terms.

One person commented: “You betrayed our queen Taylor. I thought I was friends like you even opened her era tour show.”

“Why are you passing by? I thought you and Tay were friends,” another person wrote.

In other updates about the singer, she defended her producer, Jack Antonoff, in the same interview, saying he is “one of the most talented people” she has ever met.

Antonoff, whom Carpenter met several years ago in New York City, is the producer and co-writer of her latest song, “Please Please”.

She added: “When he’s in the room, he can literally touch every instrument in the room and create magical sounds. He also works very quickly, which I really appreciate high because I work very fast”.

On the other hand, Antonoff praised Carpenter as one of the hottest young pop stars and their collaboration as a “statement of self-expression”.
