Early life
Serame Letsoaka was born in South Africa on 22 July 1963. His birthplace is unknown, but he was always interested in sports from an early age.

Coach Serame Letsoaka has married an unidentified woman; on 21 September 2021, the former Bafana Bafana coach married another woman without informing his first wife.
According to a report by the Daily Sun, Serame Letsoaka allegedly married a woman with whom he has a six-year-old child. The same week that his first wife’s mother was buried, Serame Letsoaka allegedly lied to his family that he was going to an important meeting in Zurich, Switzerland.
His family said the woman Serame Letsoaka married was younger than his first daughter. Reacting to the news, Serame Letsoaka reportedly told the Daily Sun newspaper that there was nothing wrong with taking a second wife.
During the time his mother-in-law was buried, Serame is said to have lied to his family that he was going to a business meeting in another country, only to marry his mistress, who was only young enough to be his daughter.
Career
On 3 September 2014, Serame Letsoaka became the assistant manager of SuperSport United Football Club. He worked with an Atteridgeville-based football club in 2014 until he left the club on 30 June 2015.
Then, in early July 2015, he became the manager of a Durban-based football club called Lamontville Golden Arrows Football Club. Serame Letsoaka worked with the football team for almost a year before leaving the football club on 1 December 2015.
Serame Letsoaka has also managed Shawn Mkhize football club.
Serame Letsoaka started his work at the Durban-based club on 3 December 2015 during the 15/16 football season. After working with the team for almost a year, he left the team during the 16/17 season on 30 October 2016.
Serame Letsoaka is also the assistant coach of the South African national football team.
