Tyler the Creator Asks Forgiveness After Canceling Lollapalooza, Outer Land Music Festival Appears

Fans were expecting Tyler the Creator to perform at various festivals later this year, but many were shocked when he had to cancel two of his appearances and he is now asking for forgiveness for sudden withdrawal.

Taken to his official X accountformerly known as Twitter, the musician shared the devastating news with his supporters, writing: “I hate to say this but I have to cancel lollapalooza and the lands beyond. I made a commitment that I couldn’t hold it anymore and it disappointed me knowing how excited everyone was.”

He later apologized to his followers and added, “that’s not sexy at all. Please forgive me or call me by my name when you see me in person. Love.”

As of the time of writing this article, the male singer has not yet shared the reason why he had to cancel appearing at events.

Fans took to the comments section to express their disappointment. Written“Spent my entire salary and 4 installment payments TO afford it.”

“I’m so disappointed because your music has gotten me through so much over the past 7 years and this would have been the first time I’ve met you but I hope you’re okay,” one person added.

Tyler the Creator is said to be one of the headliners for Lollapalooza, along with SZA, Blink-182 and Killers. The event will be held at Grant Park in Chicago, IL, August 1-4.

Other performers include Melanie Martinez, Stray Kids, Hozier, Future x Metro Boomin, Reneé Rapp, Lizzy McAlpine, Zedd, Fisher, Labyrinth, Pierce the Veil, Victoria Monét, Faye Webster, as well as Kesha, Sexxy Redd, Teddy Swims, Benson Boone, Jungle, Two Door Movie Club, etc

Tickets to the four-day general event cost $385 per person, which includes access to official food and merchandise incentives.

On the other hand, Outside Lands Music Festival headliners include the Killers, Sturgill Simpson, Grace Jones, Post Office, Kaytranada, Jungle, Chris Lake and Gryffin. The event will take place at Golden Gate Park in San Francisco, CA, August 9-11.
